Where is conversational AI being used
We are witnessing a rapid adoption of highly intelligent chatbots in almost all major industries. Finance, healthcare, travel and customer relationship are common examples. Lets take an example of news and media companies. Using Emotion detection on initial conversation of online user with a chatbot news and media can be recommended to specific user emotions. Such bots are intelligent and quick enough to pick top news for each specific search, saving the previous time of searching of an online news reader. These news bots also offer Meta-Learning, the chat bot will be trained on the user feedback, thus the knowledge base of the chat bot will be based on the active user interaction on the news, not general user.
Another innovative use in the field of healthcare is the psychology assistant chatbot. Such bots map a user’s personality against a set of expert advice. These advices keep on improving and allow user to interactively diagnose and recover

With high quality data, IBMWatson will be served best for a chatbot in news and media recommendation. Watson has the ability of machine learning based intent classification and machine learning based entities recognition while dialogflow only has machine learning based intent classification. Watson also have competitive price compared to DialogFlow, given the scale capacity of news and media business I think IBM Watson would be a better option. These tools have a very powerful combination of features for creating a conversational learning app for language learning, concept recalling or personalized learning.
Features of Alexa and Siri:
Potential of Alexa and Siri as a learning assistant is not yet fully explored. Although both systems are being used in various commercial situation but a fully functional teaching bot is a dream which is not yet fully realized. Examples of AWS and Alexa as writing coach (shorturl.at/amyT3) and Siri as a classroom assistant are already being tested in various institution but we have not yet seen a fully functional teaching bot based on these conversational assistant AI tools.
